Theatre and Me

In a dark place,
Surrounded by strangers,
The motion picture sometimes,
Fails to hold my attention.
The loneliness,
The pain,
The desperation,
Makes my thoughts wander,
Back to the isolated reality,
For a moment or two,
It is all numb, ache and breathless.
Then a sound from the strangers,
Like a helicopter to rescue.
Or bright colors from the screen,
Like a lighthouse at the shore.
Saves me, says me,
There are millions of stories,
Both inside and outside the screen.
Thus reminding me how mine is beautiful,
By being a lone spectator,
Not distracted by anyone to talk,
Or to share opinions,
Just to enjoy the complete show.
